The value for money at this place was great, and the room was comfortable and cozy. The location was convenient, close to the pub and the cycle trail, and the staff treated us well.
Breakfast delights would be improved with more variety.

Our stay at the Historic Cottages was a pleasant surprise. We were centrally located in the charming township and enjoyed the neat, clean, and tidy accommodations. The cottage had all the amenities as described, making our stay comfortable. We especially loved the rich history showcased through the billboards and placemats at the nearby Theatre Royal. I would recommend this hotel for an enjoyable and unique experience.

I had the whole house to myself, what a luxury! The kitchen was so well equipped, I felt like a master chef. And the best part, I didn't have to worry about WiFi because I could just pop over to the bar across the street.
Oh, how delightful it was to hear the lovely sound of trucks passing by. Just music to my ears.

I had an amazing stay here. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and impeccably clean. The location was perfect, being in a quiet area while still in the middle of town. The beds were cozy and warm, perfect for the cooler weather. The common areas, including the large kitchen, were well-maintained and inviting. Additionally, being across the road from the Theatre Royal was a great bonus.
Not obvious to find.

The staff at the hotel opposite were helpful in sorting everything out, including providing the keys. The quaint and tidy little place had clean rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The limited number of rooms made it a cozy and quiet stay.
There was no separate toilet, which was inconvenient when the bathroom was occupied. The lack of TV channels and limited reading material made it difficult to pass the time, especially during bad weather.

We stayed at Kumara Historic Cottages for two nights while cycling the West Coast Wilderness Trail. The location was perfect, with a great restaurant across the road and the only pub in the area for dinner. The cottage had a TV and a well-equipped kitchen, making it easy for us to prepare our own breakfast and relax in the cosy living room. The secure bike storage shed, complete with charging facilities for e-bike batteries, was a real bonus.
I recommend this hotel.
